When the Ottawa Senators take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Battle of Ontario, they'll have their captain to lead the way.
Senators head coach Travis Green told reporters on Saturday that Tkachuk is fine and will be good to play on Saturday night.
The captain sat out the final minutes of Thursday's 6-3 win against the Boston Bruins after tweaking something in his hip. Green said after the game that he expected Tkachuk to be ready for Saturday's game.
Tkachuk was banged up during the 4 Nations Face-Off and missed a week of games after the tournament.
Against the Bruins, he had an assist with two shots and three hits in 14:16 of ice time.
Thursday was Ottawa's fifth-straight win as they continue to pull away in the East's wild-card race.
