The Ottawa Senators are adding another scoring option to the lineup this week.
Drake Batherson will return on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres (7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet+) after missing the start of the season with an upper-body injury suffered during the pre-season.
Batherson, 27, scored 26 goals and a career-high 68 points last season to help the Senators snap a seven-year playoff drought.
While Batherson will return, the Senators will be without captain Brady Tkachuk for the next month due to a hand injury. Tkachuk injured his right arm during Monday's loss to the Predators and wasn't able to finish the game. Head coach Travis Green said surgery will be considered for Tkachuk
