The Ottawa Senators are signing forwards Derick Brassard to a one-year contract worth $750,000.

Brassard returned for a second stint with the Senators on a professional tryout deal through training camp. Brassard played two seasons in Ottawa from 2016-2018 — helping the club to an Eastern Conference Final run in 2017 with 11 points in 19 playoff games.

The 34-year-old centre split last season between the Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers, producing 19 points in 46 games.
