The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired winger Nick Paul from the Ottawa Senators for fellow forward Mathieu Joseph and a fourth-round pick in 2024 on Sunday.

Paul has 11 goals and seven assists in 59 games this season. Joseph, 25, has recorded eight goals and 10 assists in 58 games for the Lightning this campaign.

Paul sat out the last two games as the sides couldn't come to terms on a contract extension.

Like Paul, Joseph is an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Paul, a native of Mississauga, Ont., has 29 goals and 66 points in 227 career games.

Joseph, from Laval, Que., has 37 goals and 70 points in 221 career outings.
