Roope Hintz will remain sidelined for at least two more games.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday morning, Dallas Stars coach Glen Gulutzan said Hintz will miss both Games 5 and 6 of Dallas' first-round series with the Minnesota Wild.
The Stars coach also said it's unlikely that the Finnish forward would be available for a possible Game 7.
Hintz suffered a lower-body injury on March 6 against the Colorado Avalanche, when he had to be helped off the ice following a collision with Nathan MacKinnon.
The 29-year-old had 15 goals and 29 assists in 53 games for Dallas this season. He also had a goal and four points in a bronze-medal-winning effort for Finland at the Winter Olympics.
In other news, Gulutzan said that Ilya Lyubushkin will draw into the lineup for the injured Nils Lundkvist in Game 5.
Lundkvist suffered a deep laceration after taking an inadvertent skate to the left side of his face during the second period of Dallas' 3-2 overtime loss at Minnesota on Saturday in Game 4.
The Stars are tied 2-2 with the WIld.
Game 5 is set for Tuesday at 8 p.m.. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet+.
