The Minnesota Wild are bringing in some future forward depth.
Rieger Lorenz signed a two-year entry-level contract with the team, it announced on Wednesday.
Lorenz, 22, spent the past three seasons at the University of Denver, including ranking second in points and goals en route to a national title this past season.
Over 43 games, the Calgary native recorded 17 goals and 18 assists while serving as an alternate captain.
Lorenz helped the Pioneers reach the Frozen Four in each of the past three seasons, tallying 41 goals and 53 assists.
