The Edmonton Oilers are getting healthier up front.
Zach Hyman will return to the lineup against the Utah Mammoth on Saturday, Mike Babcock told reporters (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT).
Hyman has not played since Edmonton's season opener due to an upper-body injury suffered in the team's pre-season finale against the Calgary Flames.
The 34-year-old played failed to record a point in his 20:33 of ice time on opening night in a 6-5 loss against the Vancouver Canucks. He had three shots on goal and two hits.
Hyman missed time with injuries over the course of last season, suiting up for only 58 regular-season games and tallying 31 goals and 21 assists.
The Toronto native also endured a trying year the season prior. Though he missed only nine games, his scoring totals dropped, finishing with only 27 goals and 17 assists. He missed the entire Stanley Cup Final that season with a shoulder injury.
The Oilers will also get Colton Dach back on Saturday, as the forward was activated off injured reserve. Josh Samanski was loaned back to AHL Bakersfield in a corresponding move, the team announced.
Dach has played just three games this season and is still looking for his first point.
