The Vancouver Canucks and free agent defenceman Christian Wolanin have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract, general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Thursday. The contract is worth $750,000 at the NHL level.
Wolanin spent the 2021-2022 season split between the Buffalo Sabres, Los Angeles Kings and the Kings’ AHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign.
In eight games with the Kings, the 24-year-old scored one goal and one assist. In the minors, Wolanin scored one goal and notched 18 points in 37 games with the Reign.
Wolanin was drafted in the fourth round, 107th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 2015 NHL Draft.
