Lightning sign goaltender Christopher Gibson to one-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed goaltender Christopher Gibson to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Friday.

Gibson, 27, appeared in 25 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL during the 2019-20 season, posting a 10-8-5 record to go along with a 2.78 goals-against average and .914 save percentage.

He’s played in 14 career NHL games over three seasons with the New York Islanders, earning three wins to go along with a .904 save percentage and a 3.45 goals-against average.
