It wasn’t a great Wednesday night for the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed.

Not only did the Dallas Stars fall 2-0 down to the Vegas Golden Knights after a 3-1 loss, but they also lost forwards Radek Faksa and Mason Marchment to injuries.

Both players left during the third period and head coach Peter DeBoer had no update after the game.

It’s unclear how either player got injured.

Marchment played 10:22 before he was forced to leave, while Faksa was out there for just 8:41.

Marchment had a goal in the series opener. He had 22 goals and 31 assists this season in 81 games.

Faksa is still pointless in the series. He had seven goals and 12 assists in the regular season.

Game 3 between the two teams goes Saturday at 10:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sporsnet+.
