Quentin Musty is ready to play hockey again.
The San Jose Sharks prospect has reported to the Sudbury Wolves and is scheduled to join the OHL team on its weekend road trip, Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News and Ben Leeson of the Sudbury Star reported Wednesday.
Musty requested a trade and didn't report to the Wolves after he was sent back to the OHL by the Sharks earlier this month.
The Wolves then put out a statement saying they would listen to offers, but wouldn't make a deal unless it was good for the organization. They also said they would welcome Musty, 19, back to the team.
The native of Hamburg, N.Y., had 43 goals and 59 assists for 102 points in 53 games with the Wolves last season.
The Sharks chose Musty in the first round (26th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft. Sudbury selected Musty first overall in the 2021 OHL Draft.
By returning to the Wolves, Musty will have a shot to earn a spot with the U.S. at the world junior championship.
Musty is expected to make his season debut Friday in Kitchener, Ont., against the league-leading Rangers.
The Wolves (7-5-0) are tied for fifth in a tight Eastern Conference.
