The Opening Ceremony of the pandemic-delayed Olympic Games is finally in the books.

Tokyo 2020 had its official kick-off on Friday with a ceremony that looked very different than those we’ve seen at Olympics past.

In an attempt to minimize the risk of spreading coronavirus infections, the Opening Ceremony from Tokyo’s National Stadium was held without spectators and a reduced number of athletes, officials, guests and media in attendance.
