Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received a proposal from Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr that could pay the star striker up to €200m per season until 2025, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Romano reported that nothing has been signed as the two sides are reportedly discussing sponsorship and image rights.
The 37-year-old and Manchester United agreed to mutually part ways after he conducted an interview in which he criticized manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s owners.
Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with Portugal looking to help his country win their first World Cup title. Initially, the forward stated that he wanted to wait until after the tournament to discuss a transfer, however, ESPN's Rob Dawson reports that negotiations between his representatives and Al-Nassr have taken place.
Ronaldo originally joined United as a teenager in 2003, winning the FA Cup in his first season, and later helping the club capture three consecutive Premier League titles and the Champions League. He transferred to Real Madrid in 2009, then joined Juventus in 2018, and eventually returned to Manchester United in 2021.
Portugal play their final Group H game against South Korea on Friday. They have already qualified for the knockout stage and will face a team from Group G -- which includes Brazil, Cameroon, Switzerland or Serbia -- in the last 16 next week.
