Along with watching his team lose in the UEFA Super Cup final, Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini saw himself become an internet sensation last night.

After taking a ball to the face, Fellaini’s facial expression helped spark the latest viral meme.

The Man U midfielder later took to Twitter himself to share a laugh at his own expense, but there must be a little part of him that wishes this would all melt, or even blow, away.

Memes do come and go, but Fellaini’s face did help bring back memories of when Cristiano Ronaldo’s sculpture held the internet’s spotlight.

Another famous piece of art also received its own Fellaini remix.

Even though the Belgian native got hit by a soccer ball, Twitter had other ideas.

Fellaini didn’t suffer any physical injuries after the blow to the head, and should be good to go for Manchester United’s league match against West Ham on Aug. 13.
