TORONTO (April 28, 2013) Stanley Cup Playoff fever has officially hit Toronto – and with an Original Six bang.  As the Toronto Maple Leafs get ready to take on the Boston Bruins in Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Sportsnet 590 The FAN – Canada’s No. 1 sports radio station – will keep Leafs fans connected to their home team first with unparalleled coverage, and together with news station 680News, will air up to four Round 1 games.

Coverage begins on Saturday, May 4 at 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet 590 The FAN as the Maple Leafs take on the Bruins in Boston in Game 2 of the series. (Full broadcast schedule is listed below).

For the first time in the station’s 20-year history, 680News will carry Leafs playoff games on the evenings when Sportsnet 590 The FAN has prior programming commitments to Toronto Blue Jays broadcasts.

Prior to every Maple Leafs playoff game, Sportsnet 590 The FAN will present Leafs Nation Pre-Game, a 30-minute pre-game web-only* show hosted by former Leafs GM Gord Stellick and former NHL defenceman Ric Nattress on Sportsnet590.ca. Stellick and Nattress return to the airwaves following each Maple Leafs playoff game to host a two-hour edition of Leafs Nation Post-Game. For all game broadcasts, Joe Bowen, veteran voice of the Maple Leafs, calls play-by-play, alongside analyst Jim Ralph.

On Saturday, May 4, Sportsnet 590 The FAN Stellick and Nattress will host a special two-hour edition of Leafs Nation Pre-Game at 5 p.m. ET.
