Raoni Barcelos was removed from the octagon on a stretcher after a violent TKO in the main event of Saturday's UFC Fight Night card.
Barcelos was knocked out cold by rising star Raul Rosas Jr. in the fifth round of a bantamweight bout. Referee Herb Dean immediately ended the fight and Barcelos was attended to by medics before being taken to a local hospital.
UFC insider Ariel Helwani reported that Barcelos was conscious and was able to speak and move his fingers and toes. Helwani added that the Brazilian fighter underwent a CT scan and was waiting for results.
Barcelos, 39, has a 22-6 record in the UFC and is ranked No. 13 in the bantamweight division.
