A-Rod: Writing off Blue Jays ‘a big mistake’

After the Toronto Blue Jays fell in Game 2 to the Kansas City Royals, manager John Gibbons talk about being down two games and how is team played in the second game of the American League Championship Series.

Alex Rodriguez has seen enough of the Toronto Blue Jays this season to know it’s too early to write them off in their American League Championship Series against the Kansas City Royals.

The New York Yankees slugger, who will join FOX Sports as a studio analyst for the remainder of the postseason beginning with Game 3 of the ALCS on Monday, explained during an appearance with the FOX NFL Sunday crew why the Blue Jays are still a threat to advance to the World Series.

The Blue Jays are no strangers to adversity, having erased a 2-0 deficit against the Texas Rangers in the ALDS. They also stormed back to take the AL East from Rodriguez’s Yankees after trailing by eight games on July 28. Rallying back to beat the Royals won’t be an easy task for the Blue Jays, who will look to become just the fourth team in the last 26 Championship Series to make the World Series after going down 0-2.

For the Blue Jays’ sake, hopefully A-Rod’s analysis is more accurate than his arm.
