SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Jordan Binnington made 34 saves and the Owen Sound Attack beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 to advance in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs Sunday.
Holden Cook and Artur Gavrus scored for the Attack in the third period to help them finish the first-round series 4-2.
The Greyhounds scored in the final minute but ran out of time for the equalizer.
Zach Nastasiuk, with a short-handed goal, and Gemel Smith also scored for Owen Sound.
Colin Miller had a goal and two assists for the Greyhounds, while Sergey Tolchinsky and Tyler Gaudet also scored.
Matt Murray stopped 22 shots for the Greyhounds.
