Mikhail Grigorenko still has it, at least at the junior level.

The 18-year-old winger scored once and set up three more in his return as his Quebec Remparts defeated the visiting Rimouski Oceanic 5-3 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

The 2012, 12th-overall pick played 53 games with Quebec before being summoned by the Buffalo Sabres in January when the NHL lockout ended. However, the Russian import struggled at times and produced only one goal and five points in 22 games and was loaned back to his junior club on Mar. 15th.

Adam Erne scored twice for the Remparts (42-21-5), who will head into the post season on a six-game win streak, while Martin Lefebvre had a goal and an assist.

Jeremy Beaudry scored once to round out Quebec’s offence.

Alexandre Lavoie had a goal and an assist for the Oceanic (41-18-9) and Peter Trainor and Frederik Gauthier each scored once.

Trainor’s goal pushed him to the 100-point mark, which was hit by only four players in the QMJHL this season.

Francois Brassard stopped 13 shots for the win as Robin Gusse made 25 saves in a losing cause.

Quebec went 2 for 4 on the power play while Rimouski scored on its only chance with the man advantage.

The Remparts finish the regular season as the fifth seed in the QMJHL standings and will host the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in the first round of the playoffs. The Oceanic, who finished two points ahead of Quebec, are the fourth seed and will greet the Gatineau Olympiques.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Halifax 5, Cape Breton 2; P.E.I. 8, Saint John 5 and Moncton 5, Acadie-Bathurst 2.

At Quebec City, Trainor opened the scoring 6:04 into the first period, but Lefebvre and Beaudry both scored on the power play to give the Remparts a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Lavoie tied the game for Rimouski at 3:48 of the second and Gauthier gave the Oceanic a 3-2 lead only 42 seconds later, however Erne scored in the final minute of the period to send the game into the third period tied 3-3.

Erne put Quebec ahead for good 5:17 into the third and Grigorenko added another at 8:11.

Mooseheads 5 Screaming Eagles 2

At Halifax, Matthew Boudreau had two goals and two assists and Darcy Ashley extended his point streak to 16 games with three assists as the Mooseheads (58-6-4) beat Cape Breton (14-46-8) to finish the regular season 16-0-1 in their last 17 contests.

Rocket 8 Sea Dogs 5

At Charlottetown, Ben Duffy had a goal and four assists, which gives him the QMJHL scoring title with 110 points, and Josh Currie scored three times as P.E.I. (41-23-4) downed Saint John (23-44-1) to head into the post season on a six-game win streak.

Wildcats 5 Titan 2

At Bathurst, N.B., Dmitrij Jaskin scored once and set up three more, giving him seven goals 18 points in his last eight contests, and Alex Saulnier had a goal and an assist as Moncton (42-23-3) beat the Titan (26-34-7) for just its second win in its final seven regular-season games.
