Jonathan Huberdeau could face a suspension for his actions during the Saint John Sea Dogs 4-2 loss against the Halifax Mooseheads on Sunday.

Late in the third period, Huberdeau dragged a linesman to the ice before a fight with Mooseheads’ MacKenzie Weegar.

The linesman had Huberdeau tied up as he was trying to get to Weegar which resulted in both the linesman and the Sea Dogs star falling to the ice. You can see the incident at the 3:27 mark in the video below:

It appeared the linesman was hurt following the incident.

Huberdeau racked up 11 penalty minutes including three misconducts.

No additional information has been released but it is expected that the league will investigate Huberdeau’s actions.

The loss on Sunday marked the Sea Dogs’ fourth straight defeat.

Huberdeau is one of the players highlighting Team Canada’s selection camp, which opens in Calgary on Dec. 10 ahead of the World Junior Hockey Championship in Russia.
