United States names preliminary roster for 2018 world juniors

The United States has unveiled its preliminary roster for the 2018 World Junior Championship in Buffalo.

Canadian NHL prospects Kailer Yamamoto (EDM), Joseph Woll (TOR), Adam Fox (CGY), Phil Kemp (EDM), Dylan Samberg (WPG), Logan Brown (OTT), Will Lockwood (VAN), and Ryan Poehling (MTL) all made the 28-man roster.

The U.S. will begin its gold-medal defence on Dec. 26 against Denmark.
