Rangers, Sharks swap 4th round picks

With the Rangers second pick in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft, New York takes Filip Chytil at 21.

The New York Rangers traded their fourth round pick (No. 102) to the San Jose Sharks in exchange of their fourth round pick (No. 123) and sixth round pick (No. 174).

The Rangers draft pick formerly comes from the Florida Panthers in a deal made June 2016 in exchange for negotiating rights for defenceman Kieth Yandle.

The Sharks’ fourth round pick originally came from the Nashville Predators, who traded it to the New Jersey Devils for forward Vernon Fiddler before the Devils moved the pick to San Jose on June 17 in a deal that involved defenceman Mirco Mueller.

With the No. 102 pick the Sharks selected centre Scott Reedy.
