As the Toronto Raptors eased their way through Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs and await a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers, there has been a lot of buzz around Canada’s only team and its potential to make a run through the Eastern Conference.
Much of the team’s success to this point has been attributed to the off-season trade with the San Antonio Spurs that brought Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Toronto in exchange for franchise star DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl.
And while the team’s summer blockbuster certainly garnered its fair share of attention, we hadn’t been treated to a satirical interpretation of what went down. That is, until now.
The episode pokes fun at many past and present Raptors personnel, including team president Masai Ujiri’s relationship with Kyle Lowry and DeRozan’s reaction to the trade. Leonard even makes a surprise appearance in the closing moments as well.
