Team Yannick Schwaller is showing the curling world it intends to be a force to be reckoned with this season.
The Swiss rink won its second event in as many weeks on Sunday, capturing the Euro Super Series title in Scotland.
Schwaller went 6-0, including an 8-2 win over Scotland's Team Grant Hardie in the final.
Hardie was making his debut as skip with his new rink after leaving Bruce Mouat's squad.
Schwaller won bronze at the 2026 Olympics and silver at the 2025 world championship.
Meanwhile, Switzerland's Team Alina Patz took the Euro Super Series women's title, downing fellow Swiss skip Xenia Schwaller 8-5.
Patz is skipping her own rink this year after eight years with Silvana Tirinzoni.
The Euro Super Series champions were guaranteed berths in the Grand Slam of Curling Invitational Oct. 13-18 at Victoria’s Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
Because the winners and finalists already are in the field, the next-best teams — Team Italy's Team Stefano Spiller and Team Giulia Zardini Lacedelli — get in.
The curling season continues this week with events in Morris, Man., Norway and Japan.
