Team Selena Sturmay looks poised to build on its success from the 2025-26 curling season.
The Alberta rink, playing in its third final in as many events early this season, downed South Korea's Team Youbeen Park 6-4 in the women's championship game of the Saville Grand Prix in Edmonton on Monday.
Sturmay, Danielle Schmiemann, Dezaray Hawes and Paige Papley went 7-0 at the event.
Sturmay's team won the Alberta championship last season before finishing third at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Mississauga, Ont.
The rink has qualified for the Scotties the past three years.
In the men's event of the Saville Grand Prix, 20-year-old Edmonton skip Jaxon Hiebert led his team to a 9-5 win over a fellow Edmonton rink skipped by Evan Van Amsterdam.
It was the first World Curling Tour title for Hiebert.
Events this week include the Okotoks Classic in Alberta and the Mother Club Fall Curling Classic in Edmonton.
