Calgary’s Kevin Koe advanced to the playoffs at the Alberta Boston Pizza Cup defeating Edmonton’s Mick Lizmore 6-1 in Friday night’s B-side qualifier in Camrose.

It was a bit of redemption for the defending champion Koe, who fell to Lizmore in the A-side of the triple knockout.

Koe will now face Charley Thomas in Saturday night’s A vs. B page playoff with the winner of that match moving straight to Sunday’s final.

The C-side qualifiers are set for Saturday afternoon with Lizmore meeting Brent Bawel, who beat Tom Sallows 9-2.

Kevin Yablonski scored a 9-4 victory over Glen Hansen. Yablonski faces Brendan Bottcher, who topped Jeff Erickson 6-4.
