Casey Scheidegger’s second-half surge has put her Lethbridge team into the Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts final.

Scheidegger rallied twice to clip Calgary’s Chelsea Carey 8-7 in Saturday’s Page playoff A-B match in Medicine Hat.

Carey will take on defending Alberta champion Shannon Kleibrink of Okotoks in Sunday’s semifinal for another opportunity to advance.

Watch the Alberta Scotties semifinal live Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet East, Ontario, Pacific and Sportsnet ONE followed by the final at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet ONE.

Carey opened the A-B game with the hammer after going 3-0 through the triple knockout round. The 2016 Alberta and Canadian champion established an early three-point lead taking a point in the first followed by back-to-back steals.

The teams matched with singles in four and five with Carey up by three points again at the break.

Scheidegger knotted it up with a three-ender in the sixth stanza and pulled ahead 6-4 stealing two in the seventh. Carey climbed back by scoring three in ninth to set the stage for the final frame and another Scheidegger comeback with the decisive deuce.

The reigning Meridian Canadian Open champion Scheidegger went 4-1 through preliminary play. Scheidegger dropped to the B bracket of the triple knockout following a 9-6 loss to Edmonton’s Val Sweeting but avenged the defeat with a 9-8 win in the B qualifier rematch.

Meanwhile, Kleibrink rocked Sweeting 8-2 in seven ends during the Page playoff C-C game to move onto the semifinal.
