The Calgary Hitmen own the 11th overall pick heading into the 2020 WHL U.S. Prospects Draft.
The online draft will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25 and hosted by the WHL Office.
It comprises of two-rounds with the Hitmen second-round selection 34th overall. Fans can follow every pick live at https://whl.ca/draft beginning at 2:00 p.m. MT.
This marks the first time in Western Hockey League history there is a draft exclusively for U.S. Prospects.
The selection order was determined during a February lottery where every club had an equal chance to obtain the first overall pick.
To help teams prepare, the WHL U.S. Challenge Cup presented by NHL Seattle and Visit Kent was held last month in Seattle.
Eligible for the 2020 WHL U.S. Prospects Draft are 2005-born players who reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
Players not selected in the 2020 WHL U.S. Prospects Draft will remain eligible to be selected in the online 2020 WHL Bantam Draft on Wednesday, April 22 or listed by a WHL Club any time thereafter.
