Knights take 3-0 series lead vs. Rangers

LONDON, Ont. — Defenceman Olli Maatta scored twice as the London Knights moved a win away from the Ontario Hockey League final with a 5-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers on Tuesday.

London leads the best-of-seven Western Conference final 3-0. Game 4 is Wednesday in Kitchener, Ont.

Jared Knight, Tyler Ferry and Ryan Rupert also scored for London.

Tyler Randell and Eric Ming replied for Kitchener.

Michael Houser made 21 saves for the Knights.

John Gibson allowed four goals on 29 shots for the Rangers. Franky Palazzese stopped all 12 shots he faced in relief.
