• The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds won again last weekend to extend their win streak to eight games. But will their regular season success translate to playoff success?

• The defending MasterCard Memorial Cup Champion Windsor Spitfires got good news this week that Gabe Vilardi was returned from the Los Angeles Kings. Vilardi was taken 11th overall last June by the Kings after putting up 61 points in 49 games last season. The Spitfires will also be a team that could make the OHL’s trade watch interesting, as they have several pieces top teams in the OHL will be trying to acquire.

BLOCK 2
• Moose Jaw Warriors head coach Tim Hunter drops by the show to discuss his team’s WHL-leading 18-5-0 record to start the season and their ability to keep winning with some of their top players injured.

BLOCK 3
• The Sarnia Sting remain the CHL’s top team for another week. Moose Jaw, Sault Ste. Marie and Portland are just behind them.

• Carolina Hurricanes prospect Jake Bean and the Calgary Hitmen host the Red Deer Rebels on Sportsnet’s CHL Saturday Showcase this week.

• Victoriaville’s Anthony Morrone gets himself on the map with back-to-back shutouts and being named Vaughn Goalie of The Week, while Cliff Pu of the London Knights had a stellar performance with 12 points in four games to earn CHL Player of The Week honours.
