WHL Roundup: Walford, Blades beat Raiders for third straight win

SASKATOON — Scott Walford had two goals and an assist as the Saskatoon Blades doubled up the Prince Albert Raiders 6-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Matthew Sanders, Chase Wouters, Colton Dach and Kyle Crnkovic also scored to help the Blades (17-15-3) pick up their third win in a row.

Ilya Usau struck twice and Aliaksei Protas had the other for the Raiders (20-11-4), who are on a four-game slide.

Nolan Maier kicked out 35 shots for Saskatoon.

Carter Serhyenko gave up three goals on four shots in just 7:13 of action before giving way to Boston Bilous, who stopped 14-of-16 shots in relief for Prince Albert.

The Raiders played most the night down a forward after Jakob Brook was given a major and game misconduct for checking from behind at 2:41 of the first period.
