Canadiens’ Paul Byron leaves game after fighting Panthers’ Weegar

Watch as Paul Byron is helped to the locker room after MacKenzie Weegar catches him with an uppercut during their fight.

Montreal Canadiens forward Paul Byron left Tuesday night’s game against the Florida Panthers with an upper-body injury and didn’t return.

Byron suffered the injury after engaging the Panthers’ MacKenzie Weegar in a fight that saw him get nailed with a left uppercut and crumple to the ice.

Though able to skate off the ice, Byron required some help from the referee to keep his balance and was seen as visibly woozy as he tried to correct himself.
