Canadiens sign Jesse Ylonen to three-year, entry-level contract

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to terms with forward Jesse Ylönen on a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced on Thursday.

Ylönen appeared in 53 games this year as a member of the Finnish Liiga’s Lahti Pelicans, ranking second on the team in goals (12) and fourth in points (22).

In 106 career games with Lahti, he has scored 25 goals and added 24 assists.

The 20-year-old was selected in the second round, 35th overall, by the Canadiens in the 2018 NHL Draft.
