Jets’ Mathieu Perreault leaves game vs. Bruins with upper-body injury

Watch as Mathieu Perreault is forced to lead the game after taking a big hit from Karson Kuhlman. A fight broke out after the incident.

Winnipeg Jets forward Mathieu Perreault suffered an upper-body injury against the Boston Bruins on Friday and will not return to the game.

Perreault was accepting a pass in the middle of the Bruins zone when forward Karson Kuhlman laid down a huge hit, knocking Perreault into the air. He was slow to get up and headed to the Jets dressing room.

Jets defenceman Luca Sbisa objected to the hit and dropped his gloves with Kuhlman shortly after the play. It was the fourth fight of the night between the two teams.

Kuhlman served a five minute penalty for fighting, while Sbisa got five for fighting, two for instigating and a ten-minute misconduct.

Perreault has six goals and 14 points in 45 games this season.
