Leafs sign forward Kalle Kossila to two-year, two-way deal

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Kalle Kossila to a two-year, two-way contract, the team announced Wednesday.

The deal carries an annual average value of $700,000 at the NHL level.

Kossila, 26, spent last season with the Anaheim Ducks organization, playing eight games in the NHL and 44 with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls. The Kauniainen, Finland native scored one goal for the Ducks in 2018-19, while racking up 14 goals and 35 points for the Gulls.

Kossila has played in 19 career NHL games, recording two goals and three points to go along with four penalty minutes.
