Minnesota Wild sign forward Matt Read to a one-year deal

The Minnesota Wild announced Monday the signing of forward Matt Read to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 32-year-old collected 16 points and eight penalty minutes in 33 games with Lehigh Valley in the American Hockey League and scored one goal in 19 games with Philadelphia in 2017-18.

The right-winger owns 187 points, 81 PIMs, 17 game-winning goals and 508 hits in 437 career games in seven NHL seasons with the Flyers.

Read played his college hockey at Bemidji State University of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. After a quick stint in the AHL, Read made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 2011.
