Oilers unveil new alternate sweaters for 2019-20 season

Gene Principe reports from Edmonton where Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl knows it’s all about making the playoffs.

The Edmonton Oilers will be sporting some new threads this upcoming season. The club unveiled its alternate sweaters on Thursday, as well as a list of dates on which they’ll be worn.

“Inspired by the latest fashion trends, the Oilers’ ADIZERO alternate jerseys take an entirely new approach to the Oilers’ classic uniforms by highlighting hockey culture and amplifying street style,” the Oilers’ press release reads. “The new jerseys transform the Oilers’ traditional orange, blue and white colourway into a modern two-tone colour palette and create a futuristic look with minimalistic design elements. The result is a jersey that allows fans to support their team anytime and anywhere.”

Edmonton will sport the sweaters at home on the following dates:
