Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker will miss the next four to six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured right fibula, the team announced.
Zucker sustained the injury last Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks, when he was on the receiving end of a Brent Seabrook slapshot.
Zucker left the game briefly, but returned to finish the contest. He was ruled out of Tuesday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights with what the team described as a lower-body injury, before being listed as week-to-week.
The 27-year-old’s surgery was a success, and according to Carly Zucker, his wife, he is now recovering at home.
Successful surgery! Now recovering with lots of cuddles. Thanks for all the messages pic.twitter.com/04akyVZwM8
