Toronto Blue Jays star slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has pulled ahead in voting for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game.
Guerrero Jr. has surpassed New York Yankees’ Paul Goldschmidt as the top vote getter among first basemen in the American League.
This would be the second year in a row that Guerrero Jr. could be the fan-elected starting first baseman. He has been voted in three of the last four years and has taken the lead with 1,192,604 votes, while Goldschmidt sits in second with 1,118,501 votes.
Tampa Bay’s Jonathan Aranda, who is bidding for his first All-Star selection, remained third among AL first basemen with 879,030 votes, while Spencer Torkelson of the Tigers is fourth with 797,210.
Through 76 games this season, Guerrero Jr. is hitting .279/.383/.442 with 10 home runs, 39 RBIs, and a .825 OPS.
The 26-year-old was first elected an All-Star back in 2021, where he would go on to win the Ted Williams All-Star Game MVP award.
Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge continues to lead all MLB players with 2,699,483 total votes. According to MLB, Judge is looking to become just the fourth player since fan balloting returned in 1970 to lead the majors in voting on at least three occasions.
