Blue Jays catcher Tyler Heineman left Sunday's game against the Oakland Athletics in the bottom of the eighth inning with an apparent injury.
The 32-year-old was looking at a 3-1 count against A's reliever Ken Waldichuk and seemed in discomfort after an awkward swing.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider came out with head trainer Jose Ministral to have a conversation with Heineman and the catcher ultimately left the ballgame. Heineman hit for .227 from 22 at bats this season.
