Arjun Nimmala continues to work his way up the Toronto Blue Jays' minor-league system.
The Blue Jays are promoting Nimmala to double-A New Hampshire, according to a report from Sportsnet's Shi Davidi on Saturday.
Nimmala will be active on Tuesday.
In addition to Nimmala, the Blue Jays are also promoting right-handed pitching prospects, Nolan Perry and Austin Cates. Cates will get the bump to double-A, and Perry will make the move to high-A.
Nimmala began the season in high-A Vancouver, where he posted an .845 OPS over 23 games. The 20-year-old shortstop was tied for first in the Northwest League with nine doubles and tied for third with four homers and 20 RBIs.
Toronto's first-round pick in 2023, Nimmala, spent all of 2025 in Vancouver and faded in the second half. Between Opening Day and June 16, he carried an .846 OPS with 11 homers. But in the final 62 games of his season, Nimmala hit .181 with just two longballs.
Despite the second-half struggles, the Blue Jays brought Nimmala to big-league spring training as a non-roster invite. He got into 16 spring games with Toronto, going 7-for-28 with two doubles and five walks.
But after being assigned back to high-A to open 2026, Nimmala impressed the Blue Jays enough to get the bump to New Hampshire.
Nimmala is currently ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Blue Jays' organization and No. 67 in all of baseball, per MLB Pipeline.
