Detroit Tigers acquire: C Enderson Delgado, cash considerations
The Tigers designated Faedo for assignment after signing Tommy Kahnle and the Rays have now added Faedo to their bullpen. The 29-year-old made 37 appearances for the Tigers, posting a 3.61 ERA.

Details: The Reds land the 34-year-old Rogers coming off an excellent season in San Francisco. The southpaw posted a 2.40 ERA over 60.0 innings, but now will no longer share a bullpen with his twin brother, Tyler.

Houston Astros acquire: RHP Juan Bello, Cash
Details: After seven seasons and a World Series title with the Astros, Pressly will take over the closer's duties with the Cubs. The 36-year-old was bumped to set-up duty when Houston signed Josh Hader in 2024 and posted a 3.49 ERA over 56.2 innings. He enters 2025 with 112 regular season and 14 post-season saves.

Chicago White Sox acquire: Cash
Details: Marinaccio threw 114.2 innings for the Yankees between 2022 and 2024, posting a 3.22 ERA, but was claimed off waivers by the White Sox in September. He will now join the Padres in a trade for cash.

Details: After helping the Dodgers to the World Series, Lux heads to Cincinnati for outfield prospect Sirota and a Competitive Balance Pick. Lux, 27, slashed .251/.320/.383 with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs in 2024 and added six hits and four RBIs in the post-season.

Chicago Cubs acquire: UTIL Vidal Brujan
Miami Marlins acquire: 1B Matt Mervis
Details: The two NL squads made some moves around the edges, hoping that they can both find value in giving former top-100 prospects a new home. Brujan has struggled during his four years in the majors, batting .189 in 201 games with five home runs and 14 stolen bases. Mervis, meanwhile, played in only nine games in MLB last season, batting .115, but had three home runs in 27 games in 2023.

Washington Nationals acquire: 1B Nathaniel Lowe
Texas Rangers acquire: LHP Robert Garcia
Details: Lowe will head to the up-and-coming Nationals after four seasons in Texas, where he helped the Rangers win the 2023 World Series and earned accolades for his work on both sides of the ball. In 2024, the six-foot-four one-bagger posted a .762 OPS with 16 homers in 140 games. Garcia, meanwhile, was one of Washington's top relievers last season, striking out 75 hitters in 59.2 innings.

Miami Marlins acquire: OF Emaarion Boyd and SS Starlyn Caba.
Details: Luzardo emerged as an ace in Miami in 2023 with a 3.58 ERA and elite strikeout numbers through 178.2 innings. However, he took a step back due to injury in 2024, only making 12 starts and posting a 5.00 ERA. If he can return to form, the Phillies will have one of MLB's top rotations with Luzardo, Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Christopher Sanchez and Ranger Suarez.

Cleveland Guardians acquire: RHP Slade Cecconi, competitive balance Round B pick.
Details: After Christian Walker signed with Houston, the Diamondbacks have their replacement at first base. Naylor, a Mississauga, Ont. native, became an All-Star for the first time in 2024, slugging 31 homers and driving in 109 runs for the Guardians. Cecconi, 25, is a right-handed pitcher who has struggled in limited MLB innings.

Cincinnati Reds acquire: C Jose Trevino
Details: The Yankees send a former All-Star backstop to the Reds in Trevino, who has taken a step back at the plate over the past two seasons. In 2024, the 32-year-old posted a .642 OPS in 74 games. In return, New York gets a high-strikeout reliever in Cruz and a catcher to serve as Austin Wells' backup in Jackson.

Chicago Cubs acquire: RHP Cody Poteet
Details: The 29-year-old Bellinger is headed to the Bronx to help give the Yankees' offence a lift after losing Juan Soto to the Mets in free agency. But the outfielder and 2019 NL MVP is coming off a down year in which he hit .266 with 18 homers and 78 RBIs. Poteet, 30, appeared in five games for the Yankees last year, going 3-0 with a 2.22 ERA.

Details: The post-Juan Soto era of New York Yankees baseball appears to be emphasizing pitching more than anything else. After signing lefty Max Fried to a record-setting deal, the Bronx Bombers add a former NL Rookie of the Year and two-time All-Star in Williams. The 30-year-old has a career 27-10 record with a 1.83 ERA. Through 235.2 innings pitched, he's racked up 68 saves and 375 strikeouts.
