Watch UFC on FX 3: Johnson vs. McCall on all Sportsnet regional channels starting at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT. The two-hour main card will be preceded by six live prelims, also on Sportsnet.

The televised preliminary card will air on Sportsnet West and Pacific starting at 6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT and will be joined in progress on Sportsnet East and Ontario at 7 p.m. ET.

The event takes place live from the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., and is headlined by the flyweight semi-final tournament bout between Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall. The location was partly chosen by fans through an online contest.

The main event is a rematch of the bout in Australia in March that ended in a draw after a scoring error resulted in Johnson being initially awarded a decision victory. By the time the mistake was discovered, it was too late to hold a fourth sudden-death round that had been put in place in the event of a deadlock after three rounds. One can be certain that scorecards will be double-checked this time around.

The winner of the Johnson-McCall bout will face Joseph Benavidez, who defeated Yasuhiro Urushitani in the other semi-final bout that same night, for the UFC’s first ever 125-pound crown at a later date. Friday will also be the first time that flyweights will headline a UFC card.

Also on the four-fight main card, Erick Silva meets Charlie Brenneman and Mike Pyle battles Josh Neer in a couple welterweight contests, while Eddie Wineland takes on Scott Jorgensen at bantamweight.

The final fight of the undercard is a 170-pound tilt between Mike Pierce and Carlos Eduardo Rocha, who are both coming off split-decision losses.

Prior to the preliminary card, Canadian welterweight Sean Pierson will kick off the night of fights, taking on Jake Hecht in the first of two bouts that will air on the UFC’s Facebook page.
