Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jaylen Brown has been diagnosed with a torn scapholunate ligament in his left wrist and will be out for the remainder of the season, per a release from the team.

Brown is expected to have the torn ligament surgically repaired later this week. He has not played for the Celtics since May 2 as he was also caring for an ankle injury.

The Celtics are 35-33 this season, sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference, and face the sixth place Miami Heat on Tuesday night. Brown is averaging a career-high 24.7 points and six rebounds per game this season, second in scoring only to fellow All-Star Jayson Tatum.
