The Los Angeles Lakers will be without Anthony Davis for Thursday's game against the Detroit Pistons because of swelling in his right quad. Kyle Kuzma will take his place in the starting lineup.

The Lakers decided to sit Davis since they are on a second-half of a back-to-back after playing against the Philadelphia Sixers on Wednesday. In 17 games this season Davis is averaging 21.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

LeBon James will be active tonight after he was listed as questionable on the NBA injury report with an ankle injury.

James is averaging 25.6 points, 7.3 assists and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 50 per cent from the field in 19 games this season.
