If there's one thing LeBron James is incredible at other than basketball, it's theatrics.
The NBA legend posted a cryptic message on social media Monday, teasing a "decision of all decisions" set for Tuesday at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT.
While it's not clear what he'll be announcing, the topic of James' eventual retirement has been front of mind for basketball fans as he gears up for Year 23 of his illustrious career.
He's set to become a free agent following the 2025-26 season after accepting a $52.6-million player option for the upcoming campaign.
He'll also turn 41 in December, which will see him join a short list of 10 other players to suit up at that age, including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Vince Carter and John Stockton.
His career, spanning three decades, has rewritten history books. Heading into the 2025-26 season, his 42,184 points are the most all-time and he's only 49 games away from passing Robert Parrish for the most with 1,611.
Even in his age-40 season last year, the all-time great remained consistent, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 8.2 assists while shooting 51.3 per cent from the field and 37.6 per cent from three-point range.
James' post included the hashtag "#TheSecondDecision," an homage to the groundbreaking choice to leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat in 2010.
The 21-time All-Star and All-NBA selection will begin what may be his final campaign on Oct. 21 as the Lakers get set to take on the Golden State Warriors on opening night of the regular season.
