With the end of the regular season approaching, the Toronto Raptors are making some final roster moves.
The team has waived centre Orlando Robinson and forward Cole Swider.
Toronto added Robinson to a pair of 10-day contracts, a two-way pact, and a standard rest-of-season contract. In 35 appearances for the Raptors, Robinson averaged 8.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 20.4 minutes per game.
Swider signed a 10-day contract with the Raptors in March, then a rest-of-season contract before getting waived. Swider averaged 7.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 19.5 minutes per night across eight outings with Toronto while shooting 35.7 per cent from three.
Sportsnet's Michael Grange and Blake Murphy explain that these moves open up space to look at promoting a player like A.J. Lawson from his two-way deal.
