Washington Wizards all-star Bradley Beal has reportedly agreed to a five-year, $251 million maximum contract extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, choosing to stay in D.C. instead of test the open market after declining his player option for next season.
The 29-year-old was drafted by the Wizards third overall in 2012, and in 10 seasons he has been named an All-Star three times. Beal averaged 23.2 points, 6.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game in 2021-22.
This past season the Wizards did not qualify for the playoffs, and last season lost 4-1 to the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round.
