The Houston Rockets have scheduled an interview with Jeff Van Gundy on Wednesday for their vacant head-coaching position, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

The Rockets already interviewed Los Angeles Clippers assistant and former Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue on Monday, per Stein. Lue, who won an NBA title with Cleveland in 2016, is also drawing interest from the Clippers for their open position as well as the New Orleans Pelicans.

Additionally, Stein says that Rockets assistant John Lucas is expected to interview for Houston's opening after Van Gundy.

Van Gundy, 58, previously coached the Rockets from 2003-07 where he reached the playoffs in three of his four seasons but failed to advance past the first round.

The Rockets job has been vacated since Mike D'Antoni announced his departure following their elimination from the playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers in the conference semifinals.
