Sandro Mamukelashvili's time with the Toronto Raptors is over.
The Georgian forward has agreed to a four-year, $52-million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, ESPN's Shams Charania reported on Wednesday.
Mamukelashvili's new deal includes a player option for the fourth season.
The 27-year-old joined Toronto last summer on a two-year minimum contract, but quickly outplayed the $2.6 million AAV he was being paid. Mamukelashvili put up career-highs across the board, averaging 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 38.9 per cent from beyond the arc through 80 games (13 starts).
Mamukelashvili started his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021, joining the team by way of a draft night trade after being selected by the Indiana Pacers 54th overall. After spending his time in Milwaukee on a two-way contract, he was waived in 2023 and picked up by the San Antonio Spurs as a depth piece before joining Toronto in 2025. Through 271 career games over five seasons, Mamukelashvili has averaged seven points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 36.6 per cent shooting from beyond the arc.
He entered this off-season with a player option of $2.8 million to return to the Raptors, but instead got a significant raise to join the Lakers ($13 million AAV).
Mamukelashvili joins a new-look team in L.A. that has said goodbye to LeBron James, while reportedly welcoming the likes of Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes and Collin Sexton to play alongside the dynamic backcourt of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
